thx for the help ....
Trying to support via winamp plugin, but the plugin did not work with kmp. I'm still finding a document to adjust it but it seems to be difficult.

I like last.fm , and I think that would be great if Kmplayer supports las.fm.
Many thanks.
The developer said to me that it'll be easy to adjust audioscrobbler plugin of winamp if he can see the source of it. As for now, he seemed not to figure out the troubling part between the plugin and kmp. (The most good way is to support directly audioscrobbler but actually he doesn't have enough time to make one for kmp.)

Would it be possible if this plugin could be supported? I really want to have a try at last.fm and KMPlayer is the only media player I use now. I dont want to use the standalone last.fm player
Well, this can be done by creating plugin. As there is sdk for this, somebody can make it. Anyway, I'll tell a thing about this, but don't expect too much. It is impossible to do everything. I wish someone borrow a hand about a thing like this.

I've fixed Audioscrobbler plugin for Winamp and it should work with KMP now.
You can find fixed plugin and sources in attachment.
Some notes:
- KMP uses old Winamp input plugin interface which doesn't support internalization
(music tags are obtained in ascii encoding instead of unicode), so we should make
some tricks to see non-ascii tags.
For mp3 files you can use in_mad.dll instead of default plugin in_mp3.dll(it converts
unicode tags to multibyte encoding using system default codepage).
- Audioscrobbler plug-in for KMP refers to gen_zAudioscrobbler.dll because it must be
loaded after a Winamp media library plug-in (gen_ml.dll).
Thanks!
Works fine with in_mad.dll

How do you config this plugin to work? I cant seem to do it. How do I set in_mad.dll instead of default plugin in_mp3.dll?

Ok, I think I've got in_mad.dll working (its the audio decoder when I press CTRL-TAB), however the audioscrobbler plugin is still saying "Invalid - cannot read file tag"

Select "Winamp's File Info..." in the playlist context menu.
Audioscrommler plugin retrieves file tags in same way as
"Winamp's File Info..." dialog.
May be your files not properly tagged?

Hey, i'm new with the KMPlayer. And i like it, but isn't so 'automatized' as winamp. I'm getting a headache trying to get the Last.FM plugin work. I;'ve downloaded the files posted in the other page, but it isn't recognized in the plugins list. I've extracted both files in the 'Plugins' folder...;
As for the in_mp3.dll, i've removed, in the config window, the "mp3;" part to work with the in_mad.dll. I did correctly?.
Thanks for the help.
Also, i'm having probs with toaster :S.
Edit: Ok, worked :).
Btw, there's a way to use DFX?, and fixing the toaster's display problems?.
Thanks!.

DFX troubles? :)
Just copy dsp_dfx.dll to KMP plugins directory and enable it in the Preferences window (Options -> Preferences -> Plugins -> DSP Audio). Kaboom, you got DFX :D
(i suppose you already managed to register it :-P)

OK, I've just had another go at getting this to work. What you need to do is download the files in this post here: [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Grab the "AudioScrobbler118kmp.zip". Extract the files and put them in your KMPlayer/Plugins folder.
Then find the file "IN_MP3.DLL" and move or delete it from the /Plugins folder.
Now launch KMPlayer, go to preferences and to "Filter Control". In the Directshow form (near the end) you'll find ".MP3" in the list. Delete it (cut including the space) and put it in the Winamp list.
So the Winamp list will look something like this:
CDA:// LINEIN:// .NSV .NSA .AAC .MP3
Now close and re-open KMPlayer and play any .mp3 file you have. Whilst its playing, press CTRL-TAB and check the decoder is "IN_MAD.DLL".
Now go to the KMPlayer preferences again, Plugins\General Purpose. Double click on the AudioScrobbler plugin (You might need to do some ALT-Tabbing to find its dialogue). Enter in your Last.fm details and start playing a song. The plugin should detect the "Playback state" and start submitting the songs to your Last.fm account.
Done!
The other things I've noticed with this plugin is that you have to have the gen_ml.dll (Winamp Media Library) plugin for it to work - I used to delete it and use the far better MEXP, but they seem to be working fine together now.

Can you verify which steps you've gone through and what decoder is being used...?
I had the same problem that your having by the sounds of it, but going through the order which I've descibed seems to be working fine for me...

Which version of KMPlayer are you using?
Any of the newer beta releases (i.e. post 2.9.3.1214) don't seem to work with this plugin any more (Audioscrobbler returns an "invalid tag")
Here's what I've tested; (each time I was using the newer exe with the older 1214 files, I also tested the plugin on a clean 1279 package)
1214 exe - works
1279 package w/ 1280 exe - Doesn't work
1275 package w/ 1276 exe - Doesn't work
1272 package w/ 1270 exe - Doesn't Work
1262 package w/ 1262 exe - Doesn't Work
1254 package w/ 1279?? exe - Doesn't Work
1243 package - Unavailable
1234 package - Unavailable
1227 package - Unavailable

Ok, so its not working again in V2.9.3.1313 Beta, but what you can do is download the full install and then use the older 2.9.3.1309 KMPlayer.exe and it works fine.
I'm not too sure what actually gets updated in newer releases (if it's just the exe or not?), but this is the way I'm updating:
Extract a newer "full" release over a current working build with Audioscrobbler (overwrite files) Delete the IN_MP3 Revert back to the latest audioscrobbler compatible KMPlayer.exe

i dont know if anyone is still working on that plugin, or even using. But that plugin+in_mad.dll just reports the filename to lastfm. And this is quite senseless for files like 01.artist... and so on.
I still hope that im just doing something wrong :)
thanks in advance
dont know if it helps, but heres what audioscrobbler.cache says:
graveworm
eternal_winds-butt
As the Angels Reach the Beauty-Eternal Winds
14:45:21 293
F:\BRENNEN\Graveworm - As the Angels Reach the Beauty-Eternal Winds\10-graveworm-eternal_winds-butt.mp3
I tried using ID3v1, ID3v2, and both no help. As you can see the plugin just seems to parse the filename, instead of id3
My KMP Version is: 2.9.3.1270
My OS is Windows Vista (and no it isnt to blame for all errors -_-)

Greetings!
I have just found an alternate way to scrobble on Last.fm using KMP:
Using Firefox install 2 extensions - FoxyTunes and Harmony. The last of these two connects to Last.fm server, so you won't need Last.fm application to scrobble. In Harmony's options choose Winamp as your current player. Though KMP is not yet officially supported, this combination works perfectly....
...and can anybody tell me, WHY?!!!
