Black screen, Seemless playback 1080i.ts with DScaler5

Dear z,

I'm running 1080i .ts with DScaler5 Decoder ( kzeuh's Unofficial 1080i IVTC version: [Only registered and activated users can see links] ) and ReClock Audio Renderer v.1.6 under 47.952Hz/71.928Hz VMR9 windowed. I was totally thrilled :D :D with the combination untill KMP's Seemless palyback feature come true (it's supposed to be a dream come true), when DScaler5 decoder loaded and Seamless Playback enabled KMP simply won't fire up for multi 1080i .ts. The 720p Seamless Playback is a total success, that means I know what I lost without KMP's Seamless Playback feature for 1080i .ts.

ReClock is not to be blamed, the problem is caused by DScaler5, but I really like DSCaler5's HD IVTC capability for film content; Can you please make some suggestions, so that I can use both Seamless Playback and IVTC :rolleyes: :rolleyes: .

To verifiy the problem, the very samples may be necessary. I know it's almost impossible to link or submit the samples by some means but I wish you should be understood it's really hard to meet every condition.

I'll ask to confirm the problem with your combination to our forum members, but it should be reproduced in general. Actually Seamless Playback is started by connecting several parts of movies composed of transport streams(mpeg).

I've tried the combination again, I'm afraid that the problem could be rooted in a fundamental level; B/C DScaler5 won't work with KMP Internal MPEG Splitter for 1080i .ts even without Seamless Playback enabled.

I was playing ordinary .ts files from USEnet, nothing fancy. KMP is my No.1 player even without Seamless Playback, and I'd like to see it Holy Grail of video world.

Ah.. I've missed one thing to ask. Have you tried, what so called, super speed mode(alt+f) with your combination? Under what kinds of condition is it possible to play back with the .ts? Can you show me the working filtergraph of other players? I've just downloaded the dscaler decoder you've mentioned and set up with kmp for test.

With KMP Internal Splitter and Gabest MPEG decoder, yes, both 720p and 1080i .ts can be Seamless Played back flawlessly; With DScaler5, only
720p .ts works (On the mean time Right Click on palying then Filters, KMP verifies KMP Seamless Playback Reader is used), when 1080i .ts loaded KMP report KMP Internal Splitter engaged but with a black screen.

For 23.976FPS film content, I don't need Super Speed Mode. For 29.97FPS video content, Super Speed Mode will help to prevent potential Frame Dropping to a degree. But Super Speed Mode or not, it makes no real difference except smoothness.

Before Release 1045, I don't actually use KMP Internal Splitter, since KMP + Gabest Splitter + DSCaler5 IVTC is a winning combination for film; But for KMP's new Seamless Playback feature, KMP Internal Splitter becomes a must, didn't it.

Have no idea what the Filtergraph is (I am a Video junkie and a PC idiot), I leave KMP as its Default status almost, except I choose Language, Subtitles, VMR9 windowed and add some Filters such as DScaler5, Cyberlink DTV, CoreAVC, Moonlight-Elecard splitter, ReClock Audio Renderer. Maybe you can show me a link to tutor what the filtergraph is, so that I can report to you with precise answer.

In short, filtergraph represents the serial connection of the filters for playback. You can find it in any directshow based players. It locates mostly under the menu like "filters".

Internal mpeg parser seems to be a problem. In this case, the samples are ineviatble to verity the problem. It's a bit difficult to do it, as I have no such samples available enough to test.

After disabling seamless function, try to play back with internal mpeg(ts) splitter. Is it a same result(black screen)?
