subtitle viewing time

Now (txt) subtitle appear on the screen until the next subtitle will replace it. If there's long scene without dialogue between two subtitles then it is annoing to see previous subtitle over the picture for so long time. I coudn't find any option for set maximum time of showing subtitle. Maybe I do sth wrong? Is it possible to set such an option?

ps. I tried KMPlayer 2.9.1.1045 and subtitles format:
0:00:42:nie przezyje...
0:00:57:czwartej.

You can use subtitle editor with such options e.g. Subtitle Processor

On the contrary, I want this feature! But sadly, it does not work for smi format subtitle generated by Kmplayer itself. Who can tell me how can I have my subtitle stay on the screen till the next replace it?
