I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I did look through the forums first and didn't find anything.
How do I make/edit skins? Is there a program to help?
I would mainly like to make changes to the existing default skin.
I'm sorry to say that there is still no document for making a skin.
There was even a plan to make a kind of skin helper, but it didn't come true.
As it's so simple to make a skin, just look around some samples of the simplest skins.

i'm also new to the forum and quite new to kmplayer. i'm finding that kmplayer has taken over from my use of vlc and mpc.
i would like to create a km skin that would help me when using kmplayer with a widescreen tv but i cannot figure out what i'm meant to do.
i've looked at the ksf skin files but i have no idea how to edit them - i thought maybe changing the extension might let me open them in photoshop but no luck there.
if someone could please just say briefly what the process is in making a skin i'll try and work the rest out myself.
Z mentioned above that it is simple to make a skin - i will hopefully find that it is but what is used to create a .ksf skin file?
please, just start me off and i'll stumble along with the rest. i'll even submit a tutorial of how i managed to create the skin if i get that far.
(i've searched around the forum and i can't find anything regarding creating or editing a skin, so i assume it must be common knowledge amongst the skinning community?)
thanks.
Hello,
so i assume it must be common knowledge amongst the skinning community?
Yes.
Before extracting .ksf, rename it to .zip.
As I'm not a skinner, I don't know well a thing about skinning.
But if you have any question about skinning, just input here anything.
Thanks,
z
You can extract the skin under the skin folder of kmp. As kmp supports the folder type of skin you can access the skin easily. And you can reload current skin by hotkey control. (must assign before using)
Thanks,
z
