Hello,
I know, this topic has nothing to do with the KMP, and I do apologize for that, but I think it is important, and since KMP is a popular player, I believe this Thread will be read by many people :) .
This year, several US states have planned to abolish the death penalty, but so far only New Mexico has really done so.
Now Connecticut has voted to abolish it :) , but it looks like the Governor, Mrs. JODI RELL, does not want to sign the bill :( , and the Legislature could not override her veto. On the Internet, a campaign has been started in which people are asked to e-mail her ( [Only registered and activated users can see links] ) or to phone her ( 860.566.4840 ) and to ask her to sign the bill.
Both Houses have accepted the bill, so only the Governor's signature is needed. I think Connecticut is currently closer to the abolition of the death penalty than other US states, so I would like to ask you to help end the death penalty in Connecticut (of course, feel inviteded to help fighting the death penalty also in other US states and in other countries).
I apologize again for this out-of-topic Thread and promise my next post will be a KMP-related thread or something new in my "Useful Tools and Tips for Programs" Thread again, but I hope you will use this opportunity to change the world.
