Videos too bright

I recently bought myself a new Video Card, as well as more recently a brand new monitor. My new one has been set to the same brightness/contrast as my old one but i just noticed that videos in KMplayer are a brighter then before, i tried the inbuilt controls in KM but they didnt even seem like they wnated to work as nothing happened.

Can anybody Help?

What version of kmplayer do you use? try in kmplayer ctrl+pgdown and ctrl+up(if the picture is too dark) usualy it suposed to be at [100% Basic Brightness] but i am now using a build [build 1434] and in overlay mixer it does not work (Basic Brightness),try installing 1428 final version,it works well.

I would recommend you to change the video renderer form OverlayMixer to anything else if not already changed.

If you got an ATI card you can use it's control panel to change the color settings.

Try both Hardware and Software settings for brightness.

The brighter picture could come from the monitor. It may has a better contrast or it emits more light as the old one.
