Hi, could anyone recommend which renderer to use for KMPlayer? I've searched the whole site but there's not one. I am currently using VMR9 HQ Subtitles and its working pretty well, I've also tried EVR (Enhanced Video Renderer), it runs the same as VMR9 but when doing seeking on h264 files it tends to slow down a bit and gets to play normally. So what about the other renderers?

For XP VMR9 renderless is recommended (I like it)
For vista EVR is recommended
Haali's Video Renderer is also used very often. (I use it) Needs Haali's video renderer) [Only registered and activated users can see links]
Direct3D 9 is also good.
There is no best renderer it depends on personal taste. Simply try some and choose your best.

Haali's Video Renderer works just like overlay mixer in Win Vista, they turn off Aero every time a video is played. I think i will stick with VMR renderless.
Is there any logical comparison between EVR and VMR9 renderless

It does not. It doesn´t switch Aero off and kicks Overlay Mixer in the buttocks anytime.

like bastik said...
XP - VMR9 Renderless
Vista & 7 - EVR (C/A) or EVR
this is the best option ;)
and when dev team add madVR support you can stick with it...
of course if you dont watch movies with subtitles, because madVR didnt add support to it yet ;)
I am on Vista and love EVR, but the normal EVR doesn´t properly support subtitles and EVR C/A has some desync problems (at least on my pc). So I am using Haali´s VR.

Yes, i am facing the same exact problem with evr and i'm am using vista
thats strange, whenever i change to haali's VR, win change aero to basic which is very annoying. im using the latest stable version kmplayer btw.
Rickysay, did you install Haali´s media splitter? It is not included in KMP... so if you select Haali´s VR and it is not installed, it will switch to overlay mixer.

That could probably be the answer. I will go and try and install haali MS. Is there any other external kmplayer stuff that are essential for KMPLayer?
I got Real Alternative installed. CoreAVC i heard is great but i never had problems watching HD movies.(Not that i have any:D)thus i dont need it. And i've tried the watching hd files using DVXA but my card wasnt supported.
EDIT: Okay, i just tried Haali's. And everything plays. But, There are invisible vertical lines throughout the video. And that seems pretty annoying. Anyone know what's the problem with that?
So Ima gonna stick with VMR9 Renderless for now. For me, its the best renderer there is.
