Hi all,

I'm new to KMP and this progie seem to be very promising.

The only problem I have with KMP is the DVD playback: it doesn't work yet.
Perhaps I don't know how to make it work.
these are the symptoms :
- When I do Open, Open DVD standard device, it seems to begin to play and stop sticking with nothing.
- When I do Open, Open DVD file, and I choose the VIDEO_TS.IFO file within the DVD media, it work.

1) Could it be a bad config somewhere in KMP?
2) Perhaps I dont do the right opperations?

Any help apreciated.
Thanks

I have no idea and it's hard to find any clue from your description. Are there anyone who can confirm the above problem?

Is there somewhere in the config of KMP where we must say which is the right DVD player letter is?
I have 2 Devices in my PC and perhaps KMP don't know wich one to use?

OK, Thanks...

BTW, I found a way to read my DVDs : Changing the windows DVD autostart to KMP.

But I found strange we can't open a DVD dirrectly from the KMP's GUI.

Sorry to tell that but the DVD playback problem became to be really annoying.

The Method I descibed in my previous post in not valid for every DVD.
I used sysinternal's Filemon to see what drive/folder KMP look into when opening the "DVD standard device" and it reported he's looking in "D:\video_ts" !!!!
For info D: drive is not my DVD drive it's E: instead. I really don't understand why he's looking there and I don't find where to change it.

Someone can help tell me where to change the Default DVD path?

Wouah.... that's a quick reply.

Do you know where to set the "Default DVD path" in windows?

Nope.

As it's not so difficult to add the option, I hope it'll be applied in the next beta.

Goood.

That player has the best multimedia potential. And I was affraid to go back to another less interesting multimedia player.

Any Idea for the next release?
