Haali and EVR C/A behavior

I noticed something strange with an video that I opened first with KMPlayer and then with MPC-HC. MPCs video image was much clearer. As MPC uses ffdshow I made KMPlayer do the same, but the video image did not improve. I knew that I had set MPC to use EVR C/A as renderer so I made KMPlayer use it too. The video image improved.

Just to compare I switched to Haali's Video Renderer again and the video image was fine. Now I don't see a difference (although there could be some) between the renderer.

Anyone else out there with an similar experience?

I was doing a search on "haali renderer vs evr" on the internet and yours came up.

Yes, I found that using EVR C/A with VMR Renderless Setup/Use System Default (Fast) causes a fuzzier picture. VMR Renderless Setup/Use 3D texture surfaces enabled higher quality rendering.

VMR9 Video Scaler you can try which ever one goes best with your hardware.
