open movies with full screen and music with small screen

hello all, first of all , i want to say ,km player is a very good player, i just started to use it, could some one tell me if its possible to make the kmplayer. open all my movie files ,like avi, dvd,mpeg with a full screen, AND THEN when i open a music file, like mp3 with a small screen, is this possible or do i need to keep enlarging and minimizing the screen for each type of files, i tried the options , full screen WHEN STARTING , but then all my media starts with full screen, and thats annoying. thanks in advance anyway.

Right-click -> Screen controls -> Start playback in -> Full screen.

That setting will not affect audio mode.

actually it does, when i open an mp3 file , it starts also with a big screen, showing me visual stuff, i guess must be the visualization , so i need to turn it off all the time? thats a pain. i have the other two screens also tick , the RESTORE A WINDOW TO ITS LAST POSITION and the RESTORE A WINDOW TO ITS LAST SIZE. man thats a lot of clicks , when i open the kmplayer and then i want the background window like my internet browser screen i actually need to minimize the kmplayer , it doesn't let me access the window with out MINIMIZING the player , m i missing the obvious options ?

Please follow these steps:

Open KMP. Then go to Preferences and press Reset current preset button. After that, close and reopen KMP.

Now, go to right-click -> Screen Controls -> Start playback in -> and select Full Screen.

Then, go to Preferences (F2), click on General and go to General tab. After that, close the Preferences window.

In the last step you haven't changed anything, but default general settings have been stored.

Now you can try again.

thanks Pantuflo, i was having the same problem and that fix worked perfect!

Having a similar problem but trying to set video to play in last position and audio to play in reduced last position at bottom of screen, managed it on the old version but have been hunting the fourms and preferences for a fix and cant find anything.

Any tips would be appreciated

sheesh, could you describe the configuration steps you have followed and which KMP version are you using?
