VMR9 PixelShader's sharpen 3x3 and 5x5... Which one is supposedly to be better?

First of all, I´ve found these sharpening options to be MUCH better than the others (awarpsharp, msharpen, etc.), because of their ability of not producing artifacts of any kind.

But I still don´t find a noticeably difference between the 3x3 and 5x5 options.

Technically speaking: which one is better?

5x5 should be better (but use more resources) as it does (almost) the same as 3x3, but more often.

Until you don't see a difference you should choose what fits to your needs. When you notice un-smooth playback switch to 3x3.
