How to save all settings

Greetings,

I have to reset all my settings time after time because KMP periodically gets screwed up for unknown reason. The thing that really sucks is that I have always to setup all my preferences again from scratch.
How can I save the working configuration in working state to reuse when KMP gets screwed up again?

As I see Export preferences button does save only certain part of prefs.

What kind of preferences are missing?

For example, bookmarks are stored in Bookmark.ini file, hotkeys in KMPKey.ini. AlbumArt albums are stored in Documents\The KMPlayer\AlbumArt folder.

I mean everything inside Preferences dialog, ie. Subtitles font, size, shadows, source filter, audio output device, many others

Press F2 and at the bottom of the window click Export Presets, location dialog box opens select a suitable location and it saves as a .reg file. Any problems again and run teh .reg file saved and you are on the go..

All those preferences you've mentioned are saved when I use the "Export presets" button.

Look at your KMP folder and delete the KMPCfg.ini file if it's there. Try to install KMP in a new folder to avoid any possible problem with old files.

that's it thank you, Export settings doesnot save setting, duunno what it saves but it lacks many settings from preferences dialog
