VP8 not working

Has anyone tried KMPlayer version 3.0.0.1438 it supposedly supports vp8 however when I download a sample video [[Only registered and activated users can see links]] I know the file works because it runs with K-lite Codec pack.

I realize that v38 is a beta and vp8 is not fully rolled out yet but I am backing up all my programs and would like the latest version.

Developer has not given any instruction on how to play VP8 files... this is how I make it:

- Download the attached zip file and extract the MatroskaSplitter.ax file. Move it to the KMP folder, replacing the older file.

- Open KMP, go to Preferences -> Splitter and select Matroska -> Gabest MKV Splitter.

Then load the .webm file and it should work. The internal decoder does the VP8 decoding job.

thank yor very much pantuflo for your guidance. i am successful in playing .webm files using kmplayer with matroska splitter. in case of potplayer we need not to set any thing, it is instantly playing .webm files also.
