View Full Version : Subtitle problem again ;p
Hi Z.
You remember the problem of quick disappearence of subtitle lines? I found an example.I am using the latest beta (21.5.06) - for example the lines that disappear are at time: 3:18- 3:20
7:25- 7:26
When I play the subtitle with VSFilter (2.33), those line dont disappear.
Please check it.
Also I like to ask, if I can adjust the percentage of volume...5% is default, but can I e.g. choose 3% (with mose scroll)?
Thank you for your support.
Hello~
This is for the structure of subtitle parser built-in kmp.
38
00:03:17,556 --> 00:03:19,399
a to ještì nepoèítám úplatky!
39
00:03:19,295 --> 00:03:24,297
Bez úplatkù nic nezmùžete.
Všude je nìco tøeba.
There is a time overlapping in the bold spot. KMP cannot process normally these kinds of subtitles. It was a known problem but seemed to be difficult to fix.

It is a fixed value. The unit was 2% some times ago but it was changed by the many requests. ;)

I like the KMP subtitle parser, but I will use VSFilter if I must :(

Its ok, but is it difficult to add a column into KMP like:
Volume percentage - 5 ... and if somedy likes, he can change it to 3
Just a suggestion. KMP is already very configurable and this shouldnt be a problem IMHO.

This will be fixed but it will take times.

Yes, it is fixed in the new beta 10.06.06, but it needs a bit fine-tuning. When the second of the overlaping subtitle line shows, the first one blinks on the screen. I also tried the fade effect and it doesnt help.
Use my subtitle (and the 2 lines) as an example.
Is the volume percentage change beeing considered? Should I expect it, or no?
Thank you z.
I've already told this problem to the author. So let's hope it to be solved. ;)
By the way, I'm sorry to say that the volume unit would not be changed.

*sigh* Ok, thanks for the info
And I discovered another subtitle problem :p
The KMP subtitle parser doesnt display some lines (checked it with VSFilter 2.33 and its ok).
It is in an .ogm file and I am trying to do a sample, but your split program is making only a 4.88MB file (even if I select 10000KB).
Waiting for further instructions :D
Can you leave a torrent or link for the ogm?
Confirmed.
By the way, if you switch to internal ogm splitter, the problem will be solved. Try internal ogm splitter.
Switched ... ok :D
Thanks
But when I switched (to internal ogm splitter), I discovered a bug in this file. When you play the file and chose japanese language (as audio track), the video jumps to the 10th second and when when you try switching it back to english, it freezes.
Has nothing to do with subtitles, but a bug is a bug :o
the video jumps to the 10th second
Confirmed
when you try switching it back to english, it freezes.
I had the same problem some days ago. But the problem has gone now.
I don't know what the problem was but try to reset kmp.

Reseted. The KMP ogm splitter still randomly freezes the ogm for a few seconds when changing from jap->eng and eng->jap.
Gabest ogm splitter doesnt freeze (but has the other problem :p )
In my case, the speed of switching is faster and more smooth when using internal ogm splitter. And I can't reproduce the random freezing. This may not be fixed easily.
the video jumps to the 10th second
This is because keyframe search on ogm is alway working. According to the author, it would be very slow operation when turning off keyframe search on ogm.
The KMP ogm splitter still randomly freezes
Does it mean that kmp is crashing?
Does it mean that kmp is crashing?
Nope. The display freezes on one spot for e.g. 5-15 seconds.
the volume unit would not be changed.
Well, you can leave it at 5%. I just wanted this kind of option in kmp (see screenshot)
Actually, I wanted that kind of option in kmp too. There was already an suggestion like yours but the author seemed not to be likely to add the option. Why not? I have no idea. ;)
It is rather cosmetic sub problem, but e.g. when I see a subtitle line and a seek to another time of the movie and nobody is speaking (=no subtitles under), the old subtitle line is still there untill another subtitle line comes in.
And where can I change the size of subtitle font?
Thanks in advance z.
A problem which did not disappear instantly when seeking could be fixed easily in my thought.
And you can change the font size of subtitle in Preferences|Subtitle Processing|Font Style|Per Line.
Per Line= Font Size, Number of Characters Per Line(C/L).
I'll change the expression here.
By the way, the author asked if it is the case of external subtitle.
Would you explain it in more detail?
By the way, the author asked if it is the case of external subtitle.
Seems like it. I tried a few normal avis with srt subs and there were normal. But every mkv or ogm I tried - the problem was there. So it is the external module I think.
There is a problem with the external subtitle module ... the subtitle lines remain on screen when the new subtitle lines come on screen.
Sample: (I send it by PM)
e.g. episode 2 ... 00:05:35 - 00:05:40
And also, when I start the movie and select that I want to jump to 00:05:35, the video jumps only to 00:05:23. Please chceck it.
Thanks
PS. The second subtitle is .srt and plays ok with the internal subtitle module.
I am still downloading... =]
And I am still seeding ^____^
But your seeding seems not to have an effect on me.
My download speed is almost zero.
At last the downloading is completed and the problem is confirmed.
It will be fixed.
