I've checked the sample.

I've tried three programs which have its own ogm parser to figure out but the problem was same.

So I demuxed the ogm to get the subtitle. The srt subtitle seems to be the problem.

VSFilter alias DirectVobSub (2.33) did a good job. No problems there.
And by the way, if I look on your screenshots, I must say, that KMPlayer has the prettiest subtitles :D

Are you sure? I have a same problem with vsfilter.
By the way, I found out the reason why the character was not displayed correctly.

Try to change charset to East Europe, and the problem will be gone.
Have you ever changed charset setting in preferences?

If your place of residence is east europe, I think, it should be displayed normally with default charset setting.

The eastern charset is one of the first things I turn on (I learnt this in the begining of using KMP). Yes, it is turned on and still displaying the wrong character.

MPC 6.4.9.0 & VSFilter 2.33 are displaying the character correct.

I have tried this again to verify this.

Maybe...try to swap to slovak configuration again (maybe it helps as with the Karas subtitles).

Hmmm....
I installed Gom Player (without its codecs) and I get the subtitles right... interresting (it sure looks like regional setings of windows to me).

What utility for capturing the screenshots are you using z? (I am getting a black screen :( )

The developer told me that it seems to have nothing do with the previous problem.
He guesses the problem is in changing ansi subtitle to unicode in ogm.

Can you attach the screenshot? He wants to see the wrong character to know the code conversion works without problem. Besides, try the extracted subtitles above and let us know the result whether it is still displayed wrongly.

Opencapture ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
The balck screen means that you are using overlay mixer as a renderer.

Ok, switched to VMR9(renderless) ... the utility isnt in english :o

The first screenshot

The second screenshot. It is displayed correctly with the attached srt file.

Thanks for the help.

Hi all,
Just now, I changed the windows region to Slovak, then KMP can show the sub correctly.

The character (’) is not an Ascii character, it's value is 0x92(Unicode 2019, right single quote mark)

Yes, it is ok with the attached subtitle (srt) - as shown on the second screenshot.
But the problem remains in the original ogm file (which isnt posted here) - first screenshot.

EDIT: Sorry, a missunderstanding ... I forgot, that your original region is set to korean :o
