Old RM file seek problem

Hello Z,

It seems that there is a problem when I try to play old RM files with the lastest Beta KMP. When I try to play it on KMP, I can't seek using the arrows or the time bar (it look like disable) but the movie plays fine
I try to make a sample using the tool provided here but the sample won't even play so here is the link to the file.

This is a surestream file.
According to the author, it is hard to solve the problem because there is not enough information about surestream. Currently it is possible only to play.

I hope that it will be fixed someday. I guess only MPC can seek these kind of files :(

No, it is even impossible to play normally in MPC.

Are you sure? Because I am watching them on MPC and they play fine and I am even able to seek using the time bar.

If you are able to seek the file with MPC, it is not because of mpc but because of alternative or real player. It is not directshow playback. You can also seek the file in kmp if you set up properly(but I do not recommend). In directshow mode, MPC cannot open the file. If you want to confirm, just check the information of filters when playing it with mpc.

As far as I know, this is mentioned several times in this forum.
