hi,

well, I think there's problem playing xxxx.divx videos.

Audio and video is fine, but there seems to be no way to display subtitles.

Maybe I'm too stupid to find the right mouse click or KMPlayer isn't able to display divx's subtitle.

Please give me a hint!

Well, I thought nobody understands my question.

In this threat was a lot of diskussion about things I didn't understand! (about frames and so on...)

And - Sorry - therefore I asked again.

Do you mean DivX own subtitle format xsub? If yes, there was a question for you (the frames were a diferent topic).
Quote from z
I just can't find any technical spec of xsub. It seems to be a closed format. Is there any player that supports xsub except one from DivX Network?

Well, I don't know any other softwareplayer showing divx-subtitles.
But I hoped KMPlayer will do that ;-)

As I observed from creating avi files with muxed xsub subtitles, they have a similar format to the subtitle stream in vob's from DVD's. Basically, there are several bmp's joined in a stream, and that stream is muxed in the avi. I am sorry that I don't have ample knowledge in the matter, but maybe this helps.

Again, I admit that I don't have knowledge in the subject, but if somebody has the time and knows how to do it, maybe a little reverse engineering for BPMtoXSUB can provide a way for including this feature in KMP. Basically, when I create an xsub stream, the previous step is to create a timetable and the bmp's for xsub. I guess this is the same process as for DVD subtitles. Since KMP "knows" there is a subtitle stream in the movie, we have to discover what is the way to decode it.
Remember that bmptoxsub is not a DivX registered program, so somebody else knows how to do it...
