Can KMP automatically download song tags like Windows Media Player can? Maybe through a plugin?
Also in the Winamp settings theres options for CD ripping... can this be done?
Maybe, but I didn't try it.

lol.... for which question? If I can get these features, then I can get rid of WMP finally!
Can you add Winamp plugins on KMP?
I hope you try it before asking.
Thanks.

Is there a plugin for Winamp that actually does this? I cant find one.
I've actually never used Winamp before (just never needed it) but of the plugins that I've tried to use in KMPlayer, not many of them worked. I think there should be some more info on plugins
Hmm...
It seems not to work currently. (It worked before.)
It'll be fixed if possible.
Well, I am not sure about the cd-ripping ... that is one of the arguments of Nullsoft, why the user should buy Winamp Pro.
So I dont think there is a plugin for that.
The best way to rip CDs is EAC + Lame.
WMP & WMA suck anyway in my opinion.
I dont know about the downloading of song tags...
Mad, you are right but it is also possible to use cd-ripping with normal version. The ripping speed is only limited to some extent.

What he was talking about is a cddb feature when playing audio-cd in kmp.
Actually, there was a plan to add a native cd-ripping and burning function several months before but I raised a strong objection to the opinion of the author as there is many good tools enough.
Ah, yes CDDB :)
I think KMP should remain VIDEO media player! And continue to focus mostly on video media files. That is its main function.
For music playback people should use MUSIC media players like: Foobar2000, Winamp, QCD/QMP, MusicCube...etc
And there are a lot of good cd-rippers: EAC, CDex ...
KMP can be used for basic MP3 playback, but if someone wants advanced features, he/she should look elsewhere.
That is just my opinion, I dont want to offend anyone.
