Hi,

Using the lastest KMPlayer beta (I didn't check this when I was running the last final, so i don't know if it was a problem there or not). I've noticed that the time display (on how long the video file is), is incorrect on a lot of my video files. I'm just using the default skin, and down the bottom right, there is a timer (eg 00:02:00 / 00:05:00 - meaning in this case 2 minutes of the video has played, which is 5 minutes long). However, on a lot of video files (avi, wmv and mpg all affected), the length is constantly changing. For example, I start up a video file, and it shows video is 00:03:00 long. Suddenly, it changes to 00:04:50, then suddenly changes again to another value (say 00:00:12). It does this constantly throughout the video. It even gets to the stage where the timer displays 00:04:16 / 00:04:12 (ie the video has been running 4 seconds longer than the total length it was meant to be, and the timer is only half way along the seek bar, meaning it has at least another 5 minutes to go before the video actually finishes!). Has anyone else noticed this?

Regards,

CM

Hello,

It's by design. The purpose of the function is for displaying current seeking position by mouse on the track.

But some of your description seems to be weird. Would you reset kmp in preferences and try it again?

Hi z,

I thought that the seek time was shown in the tooltip? Anyway, is there a button or option in KMPlayer that resets the preferences?

Hello,

There is such an option as your description in preferences|general|playback. To enable this option will turn off the display of seeking time on the panel of total time. It will be tweaked in the next version as I said above. Just open the preferences and you will find reset button at bottom left.

Thanks,

z

Hi z,

The 'display in tooltip' option was enabled in mine, and the seek time was still also showing in the panel of total time. Anyway, I have clicked the reset button (is this the one that says 'reset current preset'?), so I will see how it goes.

Hello,

The option is in preferences|general|playback.
"Display timeinfo on tooltip.........."

Thanks,

Yep, that was the one I had enabled, but still it showed it in the timebar. Oh well, I've upgraded to the new final now, so I think it was just a bug in that beta.

Regards.
