Can't start Kmplayer in a lite WinXp, but Wmp is ok

I'm using a lite Xp.Kmplayer can't be started.There aren't any actions
after I having double clicked the KMPlayer.exe.
But Wmp is ok,runs well ,but ,plays very few kinds of audio files

I wonder if some components are needed for Kmplayer while wmp needs not

To run directshow based player properly, at least directx is needed on your system.

By the way, What is a lite xp? If it is a modified package of xp, I have no idea a thing about this.

are you using english path?? eg c:\test\program here\kmplayer? if not, change it to pure english path.
I have try something like c:\my document\桌面\kmplayer.exe then it won't start. (it shows up in task manager then disapper from task manager again.)

so the rule of the thumb. use pure english path even you think you use different language version windows. The kmp has hard time to start it, perhaps, some dll or something is still using ASCII instead of unicode.
