Feature Request: Play Random File in Folder

Hi,

A feature I would like to see in KMPlayer is the ability to get it to play a random file in a folder. IrfanView (which I use for viewing image files), has such a feature: you press Ctrl+M and it opens up a random image file from a folder. It's nice for when you have a folder of media files that you like, and you want to be surprised by your player as to which one is played. Ctrl+M will open up the first random file, and then everytime you press it after that, another random file will be chosen.

Nice idea, that wouldnt be a bad feature even if it is slightly "random"

Maybe, you tried to turn on shuffle function?

You might remember from another recent thread of mine that shuffle interfere's with the 'play next file in folder' function in KMPlayer, so it is disabled on my installation. What does it do anyway?

It is general to think that the function of shuffle works on playlist.

Hi z,

I've just tried it again, and I was right - as long as shuffle is enabled, the Next or Previous function in KMPlayer will not work. So, I've had to disable it again. Anyway, I hope you can implement a random function into some future version of KMPlayer.
