Hello dear Korean Kmplayer user,
My name is Walter and i am from Germany but unfortunately I cannot understand or read Korean Language. I've seen this magnificent tool and liked most of ist features as ist a bit of a mix of the best of different players, but I've encountered my first problem not beeing able to open pages of TV streams starting with rtsp:// (a Real stream) so as through [Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) a translation from Korean to English was available but not working for the [Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) site I looked into the english part, seeing that it was a small forum with not much in it, that could help in any way. So I wrote an e-mail to the author [Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) but that came back as undeliverable, so I tried to find anything on the Korean site where it did say Real, so i found an entry [Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) and from the bit of english I understood that I had to download (found the button after a while) and put into (C:\Program Files\The KMPlayer) what I did. Not exactly knowing what these files do, but it did not help me out with the above mentioned problem. So seen that most entries on the forum where from you (GIN) i thought maybe you could help me finding something related in the Korean written part and mail to me? I would be VERY pleased if you can help. In the meantime I send you my best greetings and wish you nice weekend,
Walter

Hello dear KMP Team,
I've long serched for a tool like your KMPlayer as there are features like the .txt editable list of stream channels that are real cool feature. But nevertheless I could not find a way to watch Real Media streams starting with rtsp:// like for the italian news channel TG1 rtsp://mm3.rai.it/tg/200511042000tg1.rm
or the german news channel N-TV rtsp://real.ntv.t-bn.de/live/ntv/ntv_1.rm
How can I watch them? I could not find any help in your english forum. Unfortunately I cannot understand any Korean so the homepage itself was no help for me neither.
Sometimes I get a Warning window (Error num:FFFFFFFF) with binary info that tells me:
--------------------
BINARY INFO
--------------------
FileName : //mm3.rai.it/tg/200511042000tg1.rm
Data :
File is not exist!!
And sometimes just a black player screen with a channel indication at the bottom and the clock counting but no sound or image coming trough.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Walter
The main purpose of kmp is to provide the environment of playback for local media files(in your hard disk) with subtitle support. So if you encounter a problem with relation to internet based media files, it would be a wise judgement to use the very player designed for that purpose. If you finds any other player that can run rtsp://...rm without the help of realplayer, let me know that, then I'll investigate whether it is also possible to adjust in kmp. ;)
ps. Real alternative is not a directshow player. It's abridged version of realplayer.
