Why has the beta the same version number as the non-beta?
Well, the author seems to feel like bothering. There is an information in the ctrl-tab info box to figure out the version by means of the released date as follows.

At first I kept it there.
If you enable the item "CD Image" in preferences > Association > Extensions tab, the corresponding menu will be dynamically created in the pull down list of open dialog box.

2z, no, I can't confirm this. I created a folder named teßt (as you see, it has a higher ASCII char in its name).
Than I copied some mp3 files into it and renamed them so, that all had at least one german umlaut in it.
Than I created an m3u file with some umlauts in its name.
After all I opened one single mp3 as well as the m3u and everything was displayed the right way and played.

The only thing I can confirm is the issue with special chars in the name of language files.

Meinst Du anstatt "Vorgabe"? Wenn es das ist, weil "Standard" für manche Buttons (vor allem bei denen) und manche Beschreibungen schlicht zu lang ist. "Vorgabe" passt dann oft gerade mal so rein.

EN: Updated German.ini. Removed unrecognised characters (▼) and inserted spaces in front of shortcuts (i.e. " %Nxxx%" instead of "%Nxxx%").

DE: German.ini aktualisiert. Hab nicht-erkannte und als Steuerzeichen dargestellte Zeichen ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) entfernt und Leerzeichen vor die Shortcuts geklebt (z.B. " %Nxxx%" anstatt "%Nxxx%").

How do you know there is an updated english.ini?
Just curious...

I use Offline Explorer with a project linked to just the one file Engish.ini.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
All other files are deactivated.
So if I go onto the project and click Download -> Start, OE only looks, if the file size has changed.
If not it does nothing, and if the size has changed it downloads the file and overwrites the old one.
This way its a matter of seconds.

I check this once (ore twice :D) a day, and so I'm always up-to-date.

Alternatively you could also use another free Site Ripper/Offline Browser.
EDIT: Getleft doesn't compare the file size.

z, what does "Load External Audio..." mean? Is there an internal Audio too?

What external audio means is external audio file (track).


e.g.
ab.avi
ab.eng.mp3
ab.ger.ac3

It is possible to load external audio files (tracks) automatically by enableing the option in preferences > filter control but it is also possible to load external audio file manually having a different filename with movie. BTW, the external audio track should be switched manually via ctrl-x in most cases except for the case using KMP's splitter. As for the case, it is possible to switch via Filters menu.

This was what I found myself too.
I think there is no proper "short" translation for this.
Even in the german Wikipedia they write about it as Angle or Multi-Angle.
So I changed everything related to Angle (but not to edge or edges!) back to Angle again (i.e. Angle-Menü).

Just make the list of the buttons to adjust. It's not so difficult to enlarge the buttons as the laguage file is written in unicode.

Because "with Parameter (x)" points directly to the Parameter slider and "in Method tab" gives the hint to look in the next tab.
Also I would write Method tab with Method capitalysed like in the tab name itself.

Yes the file is not there. But that is because the numbering changes with every beta.

In KMP (1431) unter

Filter-Steuerung > Decoder-Nutzung „Nur bei Playback-Fehlern mit Systemvorgabe“

klingt so als würden Systemdecoder nur bei Fehlern benutzt. Man könnte es ändern zu „Systemvorgabe verwenden (nicht empfohlen). Bei Fehlern interne Decoder verwenden .“

Ich komme damit klar, so wie es jetzt ist, aber es könnte für Einige verwirrend klingen.

Wenn ich das hier übersetze, dann weiß keiner was ich will, denn im Englischen ist es verständlich.

In der englischen INI heißt es "Repeat one" in der deutschen INI "Einmal wiederholen" Ich beziehe mich auf die Wiederholung. KMP wiederholt einen einzelnen Track immer und immer wieder. "Einmal wiederholen" suggeriert KMP würde den Song einmal wiederholen und dann stoppen. Wäre etwas wie:

- Einzeln wiederholen
- Eins wiederholen
- Eintrag wiederholen
- Track wiederholen
- Aktuelles wiederholen

Diesmal ist es nicht ganz so blöd, was ich sag. aber wenn sich sonst keiner beschwert.

Noch was, wenn man in den Optionen bei Playlist auf Info klickt, fehlt ein "%". Ist sowas von unwichtig, aber ich wollte es gesagt haben.

Einstellungen > Allgemein > Wiederholung/Playlist > Playlist "INFO"

zu übersetzender String in dem Sinne ist. Der Fehler liegt aber

Ich hab erst hinterher gemerkt, dass es in jeder Sprache so ist.

Im 4Beta Download ist noch die alte ini. (Final weiß ich nicht) Beide (alte und neue) ini Dateien haben die selbe Größe (nicht ungewöhnlich) aber auch das selbe Datum. Na ja und es sind keine Änderungen.

Wie in den an gehangenen Bildern zu sehen, gibt es einen Unterschied zwischen der alten (1431) und der neuen (aktuellste beta) ini

Pan & Scan wurde zu Pan _Scan. (einige andere Sachen auch [die Kreise])

Die Unterstriche, von einzelnen Buchstaben fehlen ebenfalls. in 1431 konnte man im Menü navigieren, indem man die unterstrichenen Buchstaben drückte. O für Optionen zum Beispiel. (Alles fing damit an, dass Jemand eine geänderte englische INI hochgeladen hat, die dann übersetzt wurde. Die Änderung war, dass einige Zeichen aus der englischen INI entfernt wurden. Ich schätze diese Zeichen waren dafür verantwortlich, das man die Tastatur [keine Hotkeys] nutzen kann wie bei Windows gewohnt)

Genau diese INI wars. Was soll ein Übersetzer anderes tun, als sich an die
Vorlage zu halten? Kam mir auch schleierhaft vor. Dacht, das würde evtl.
hartkodiert. Was aber auch keinen Sinn ergäbe, da ja bei anderen Sprachen
nicht bekannt ist, aus welchen Buchstaben sich der String eines Menüeintrags
zusammensetzt.

Ich benutzte wegen dem URL-Bug nichts was neuer ist als 1429.
Deshalb viel es mir nicht auf. (EDIT: Ist inzwischen gelöst. War kein Bug. Siehe hier... ([Only registered and activated users can see links]))

bastik, hab die & jetzt vorerst mal wieder in die Beta-INI eingefügt.

Zur Lizenz-Datei: Kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Benutze den Foxit Reader. Hab jetzt aber auch keinen Bock, extra den Acrobat Reader zu installieren. Hatte beim Kompilieren des LaTEX-Codes extra auf ein Menü verzichtet, um solche Effekte zu vermeiden. Das einzige im Code enthaltene Ziel ist ein \href zu einer E-Mail-Adresse. Vielleicht hat ja der Acrobat Reader ein grundsätzliches Problem mit LaTEX-generierten PDFs. Zm Glück muss man sich diese Datei ja nicht mehrmals täglich durchlesen ;)

TychoBarfy, Ich habe AcrobatReader installiert. Hatte aber noch eine sehr alte Version von Foxit Reader. (Hab die Fehlermeldung vergessen) Mit der neusten Version gibt es keine Probleme mehr. Danke.
