Per chance someone else here uses LiteStep ([Only registered and activated users can see links] , [Only registered and activated users can see links] ) , I was wondering if some light could be shed on my situation.

As done with other programs I desired the effect on, I've added the following lines to my evars.rc file in attempt to have KMPLayer 'stick' onscreen whilst I'm switching between desktop views. See attached screenshot of my desktop where the virtual window manager is highlighted in red.

*VWMSticky TVideoPanel #c
*VWMSticky TSkinPanel #c

Alas, they don't work. :(

It would be nice to have KMPlayer follow me around while I work in different apps. As it is, I have to drag it around.

Much thanks for the makers of KMPlayer! ;D

If you know a simple way to fix the problem, let me know that. As I have no experiences with litestep, it's not very clear. I have no enough time to try litestep.

The class name for KMPlayer is "Winamp v1.x".

Hence having added the following line to my evars.rc, KMPlayer now stays on screen while I switch desktops. :)

*VWMSticky "Winamp v1.x" #c

I have used WinSpy to find class names, in the past, but the class name it was giving me wasn't working. The method described below worked perfectly.

Found this in a help doc:
---------------------------------------------------------
Execute the following in LSXCommand, or bind it to a hotkey, to find the class of the active window:

!VWMExec !alert "^@wc^"

To bind to a hotkey, put this in your hotkey.rc:

*Hotkey CTRL+ALT X !VWMExec !alert "^@wc^"
---------------------------------------------------------

I would suggest anyone who is into customizing their desktop visit litestep.net 's forums to decide if it's something they'd like to try out. It may required some learning, if you want to tweak it to your every whim, but it is well worth producing a more productive desktop environment that looks cool, too!

The screenshot is just one theme available out of a library of hundreds! Litestep.net requires a free registration for login (like this site), but if all you want to do is check out themes go to ls-themes.org.
