Hi,
so far all my requets regarding subtitles are now implemented in best possible ways (see this thread ([Only registered and activated users can see links])). I would like to ask another few small things :)
I use the KMPlayer on my htpc. The player is controlled via remote control using software, that transforms remote commands to keyboard shortcuts, and via on-screen-menu. This great feature is called "Open Dialog Boxes for TV" in kmp and I am very happy to have it. I always use it to open video-files and to load subtitles. It works like a charm.
Nevertheless a good thing can be made better :)
Here is a wish-list for Santa, small changes, that could make the "Open Dialog Boxes for TV"-dialog more comfortable:
1) The cursor keys "left" and "right" work like "up" and "down". Could you please make they to work as "home" and "end"?
2) If the first item in a list is selected, the click on up-key should move selection to the end of the list. Similarly, the down-key at the end of list should move the selection to the top.
3) After opening of submenu, the selected item is always "Root Menu". The selected item should be ".." (navigate to parent menu). On the other hand, after selection of "..", the appropriate item of the parent screen should be selected (neither ".." nor "Root Menu"). So, the consequence pressing of Enter (even 10 times) should swap the screens. This will make browsing in menu more comfortable and looking for files more faster.
I also prefer to have the command "Root Menu" be displayed on the bottom of the list instead on the top (could you please make an option?). This will make possible to navigate to the parent menu with two clicks: "home", "enter". Currently you have to make four: "home", "down", "down", "enter".
4) The key "Backspace" should navigate to parent list. The same as selecting ".." and pressing "Enter".
5) The separator-lines are selectable. On clicking "up" and "down" the selection should jump over separators to prevent unnecessary additional key presses.
6) The submenus can be displayed with another color to distinguish it from commands. It is not very convenient because you need to remember what colors mean. It would be better to display some mark-symbol near to submenu's caption like a triangle, commonly used in windows' menus.
7) Please make the color of a selected item adjustable (font color and background color). The ability to adjust the color of separators would be great also. How about the color of scrollbar?
8) Items are always painted with a black shadow. I'd like to have options to disable the shadow and/or to change its color.
9) The option to make the Dialog borderless is wanted.
10) Could it be possible to adjust the transparency of the dialog like for playlist- and other dialogs?
11) In filelists the icons should be stretched according row's height. Depending on its' height the large or small fileicons could be used for stretching to improve image quality.
12) The option to disable showing of keyboard shortcuts for menu commands is also wanted. Since htpc is controlled without keyboard, the information about shortucts is not useful.
13) The dialog has a small bug with a scrollbar. The simplest way to reproduce it: show up dialog, for example the root menu. Using mouse adjust the height of window to be slightly smaller as it is needed to show all menu items. The last menu item should be half overlapped with the status bar. Now try to select the last item with cursor keys. The list should be scrolled to show the last item completly, but it does not happen. See screenshot.
