But the new skin is really terrible. :mad:

All the buttons are so tiny and hardly to see and barely to push because of the dark grey, middle grey and light grey colors! There is too little contrast...

I second that. The previous skin was/is better. Good contrast to separate all the buttons, media title visible in lower part of screen. The new grey one is too vague and a little bit sterile IMO.

The old one is not an original skin, it's borrowed from the morden skin of winamp5, so we would like to change the main skin. The reason why it had become a default skin was that there was no better alternative choice than that.

From time to time, the old skin casues some misunderstanding with relation to the identity of KMP. The program title, "The KMPlayer", even makes users confusing as if the program is based on mplayer too. (It's not.)

I think, the right solution would be a skin with the same layout and colours as the Kamp5 skin.

@PictureThis: That skin (Kamp5) is included in the beta and you can also download it separately if you like.

I like the new skin, it is much better design wise than the old skin. There is few glitches like shade mode during Video playing..the blue status bar does not look too good, it's popping out of skin too much IMHO.

What I would really like is the possibility of a true black colour in the skin engine, along with the possibility of choosin button colours(no point in having black skin with black buttons ^_^ ) so we could have some nice contrasty skins for folks that prefer dark desktops.
