Hello, i use DivXG400, because on my TV i need this:
Cut Sides to Vertically fill at least xx % of screen this is awesome feature..(Please, implement it, in KMP and other softs is only ARx2 etc., but i need percents of screen!)
But my problem is: subtitles in KMP shows with delay (about 100-300 ms somethink like this). I dont know why :( When I Use DivXG400 (which I still want use because zoom feature) to show subtitles in DivXG400 too, subtitle delay in KMP is obvious.
I can post more details (if you want some ones) to be more specific.
Try Screen Offset function(Ctrl+Q).
As for subtitles delay, I can't confirm it because I've never met the situation and heard about it from other users.

Wow quick reply! With delay subtitles, I'm afraid dont know how capture video, but trust me, delay is there, dont know why :( I test all kind of subtitle drawing (high / slow quality, in the image, in the VMR, Overlay) but delay is in all modes, i think problem isnt in slow PC..
Offset... i look at this before, i was thinking this is for subtitles.. Can I set up the values like this: if is height of video less than 70% display(TV) height, zoom picture until height of video doesnt be 70% of display(TV) height?
I think it's because of the divxg proglem itself. As KMP is designed to use its own subtitle parser, it is veeeeeeeeeery inefficient to use external subtitle loader. There is no reason to use external loader.
By the way, it's hard to understand what you mean by "if is height of video less than 70% display(TV) height, zoom picture until height of video doesnt be 70% of display(TV) height?" Can you explain it in more plain?

Subtitle delay is there, even if i dont use external subtitle loader :(
Picture: well, if I have 4:3 video, picture fill entire TV (monitor), but, if I have movie with different width/height (ex. 518/388), this movie is somethink like strip, because his heigth is too small. (I dont exactly know which resolution I have set on TV/KMP, but this information will be easy to find)
So, DivXG400 has this feature, it can calcute how many percent take the video (i'm talking now about vertically-height of image). When is at least 70% (two small 15% black borders top and bottom), it is OK, BUT when height of video takes less TV(monitor) space (example, 50% = two 25% black stripes top and bottom) video is too small, so it will "zoom it" to take 70% of screen..

Uff, i hope you understand now.. 70% is dynamic variable of course
Can you attach the problematic subtitles?
If its mkv or ogm, use this:

I leave the screen resizing problem to Z. He has more experience than me.
Didnt DivXG400 development stop 3 years ago? I also heard it is really buggy.

Unfortunatelly it is XviD... I try more movies (8-10) and in someone subtitles match, in someone has the little delay.. Dont know why (srt, sub?), but subtitles are ok - in other player is match without delay all...
Yes, DivXG is old, but this awesome feature I cannot find in ANY player, so DivXG works fine..
Subtitle delay is there, even if i dont use external subtitle loader
It looks weird as I can't find any problem. You may use the latest beta version?
Screen Offsets, it's similar to the following description of DivXG400: Compensate overscan adds black borders to clip sides, so You will see whole image on Your TV-screen.
And it seems to be a pan & scan corresponding to your explanation.
Try if it works.

If it is not working, try the following. It may work as your screenshot.

I have 2.9.2.1100..
Yes, Pan&Crop is that feature, and 4:3 Cropping, 1,85:1 Cropping works fine, but feature in DivXG400 works with this automatically depend on weight/height.
I try set up 1,85:1 crop in KMP, and works satisfactorily.... but divxg400 has dynamic change depends on %, not just AR... But this is little thing, 1,85:1 is static value but lookable :)

Delay some subtitles is bigger problem, and chiefly HARD to find WHY :( and without reason there's no solution :(
Please try the latest beta - maybe the subtitle problem got solved since the latest stable release of KMP.
Reset KMP and try again.
One little problem - the Czech translation isnt probably updated.
The screenshot above of yours is a thing aobut aspect ratio correction between desktop and monitor. It's not for TV-output. I think the function of kmp cropping and extending a screen is better and more versatile to various cases than that of divxg400.
As for the delays of subtitles, I don't know but try to reset kmp.
Or just attach the problematic subtitles here, I'll look into it.

2Mad, OK i try latest kmp.7z, but delay is still there. I discover my KMP subs are late for 200ms. When I Adjust Subtitle Sync (ALT+Y) and type -200 all subs are OK.. Is any way to set up Subtitles correction and leave it all the time (after restarting KMP etc?) My problem would be solved with this.
2Z: i set up Pan&Crop too ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). When I say 1,85:1 is OK, i forgot on 4:3 movies (movies with resolution bigger than 1,85:1), I haven't any 4:3 film now, but i suppose picture will be reduce and black borders will be in left and right margins too (with Pan&Crop set on 1,85:1 in KMP).. I would like set-up Pan&Crop one way forever, and watch small resolution films in 1,85:1 (for example), and films bigger than 1,85:1 keep in his size.
The latest beta version is only released in zip format. You are sure to try the official version. Check it again.
On conditional pan&sacn or cropping whatsoever it is, it is not so difficult to implement in my thought. I'll check the usefulness of the function.

You right i finally download and testing on BETA version, sorry about that..
but i still have all subtitles late about ~200ms :( Is possible to implement optional command box "store subtitle delay" or something? I screenshot advanced info to you but i dont think that help to find problem. [Only registered and activated users can see links]
and about pan and crop: Maybe add "Automatic, cropping" feature? In the menu user can set up Automatic parameter: in which AR he want watch films, and Automatic means - program himself detect picture size, and if it less than users AR he "zoom it" into the user defined AR, and if not (bigger), he leaves picture size as it. ;)

p.s.: older skin seems better to me, but 100 people 100 opinions...
i still have all subtitles late about ~200ms
I'll check it if there is any problem. You seems to be right.

I understand your needs and think it is not very hard to implement such an auto-zoom-function.
But it's very strange, that you like this feature. It crops the image at left and right, so you do not see the whole picture.
BTW you can (should) use zoom-function (zoom in/zoom out) instead of changing of AR-settings to adjust the zoom.

Yes, I cannot see left and right little, but when is height small it is better solution to me (i watch films on normal TV and little strip of film doesnt look good), compromise between small picture and crop full 4:3 zoom (in this case cropped pieces are too big).
Zoom doesnt work exactly right for all use cases, i think this is some in nvidia Clone mode-on TV i have only movie (zoom works on monitor, but for TV works Pan&Crop function), but, I discover 1 way: 2 Options presets (1:85:1 and No Change) and add condition to them (height is more/less than xx then switch to xx preset and restart movie).. It seems to be work.. But auto-pan&crop mode will be nice..
The last problem i have with delay subtitles...

Hi Fatty,
I suggest you not to use clone-mode; it causes too many problems. Use either DualView or One-monitor. I've found for myself the One-monitor-mode to work at best. I've assigned the shortkey in nView to swap active monitor from 1 to 2. The driver is smart enougt to remember the settings (resolution etc.) for each monitor separately.
I use TV and projector as displays (there are no pc-monitor at all).
To choose the output device I just need to press the hotkey. It works very well.
