I use the latest beta, VMR9 Renderles mode HQ Subtitles on XP Home with ATI X1600 and Catalyst 6.10 drivers. If I try to increase/decrease brightness nothing change: any suggestions?

I can confirm this.
I have a GeForce 6600GT (forceware 91.47), WinXP sp2.
Overlay Mixer is just fine, but WMR9 doesnt work with H/W colour controls.

I use latest beta, Radeon 9800pro , catalyst 6.12. Everything works fine. Did you check "use VMR mixing mode" ?

Nope, but it should work without it.

vmr9 renderless + vmr mixing mode and it is NOT working.
last week it worked, i am sure of that.

already tried resetting and changing only related settings (renderer + vmr mixing mode)

using:

kmp 2.9.3.1214/1305
forceware 94.24

Works for me, but the adjustment range is squeezed to the left hand end of the trackbar.

1305,
ATI X700 mob,
Asus OEM drivers

also works for me. ati 9600 pro.
and work fine also with superspeed enabled :) very good because for h.264/avc1 stream I set the superspeed mode.
I don't knew this vrm mixed mode because in italian traslation (default) that part is omitted. very bad!

i recently noticed that despite checking "force rgb32 in vmr renderless mode" and "use vmr mixing mode" the output is "YV12". when i uncheck "use vmr mixing mode" the output is "RGB32-BF(HQ)".

maybe those two issues are somehow connected ?

ok, i think i know what's the problem.
in zoom player i can select the output space.
i can choose from:

- default
- yuy2 (shouldn't this be yuV2 ?)
- yv12
- rgb24
- rgb32

in rgb32 color controls do not work (zoom players says 'unsupported'), while in rgb24 they do work.

z, could you pass this info (along with info from my previous post) to the developer ?

btw i'm using forceware 94.24 if thats relevant

You make me repeat what I've said before several times.
Many of the people in forum seem to still think I'm the only one to keep in touch with author but that's not true. The author can read the forum.

VMR mixing mode doesn't work in RGB colorspace. If you enable it, RGB force option will be overrided;
Color controls in VMR does not work in RGB output.

in zoom player i can select the output space.
Exactly where?

while in rgb24 they do work.
Are you really sure? How did you set it up?

BTW you can customize the RGB output.

1. Disable "force rgb32" option.
2. See the screenshot below.

when i leave only rgb24 colorspaces i still can't use color controls.
well, at least now i know why.

The option of colorspace is different.
It is output colorspace from KMP video transform filter.
(zp doesn't have video filters)

If both options below are selected correctly, it should be possible.
Color controls of VMR have no relation to the RGB force option.

I don't know well what the option of zp is for. maybe output colorspace of video decoder?
