Hey guys, could you clear some things for me? What's the difference between the binary on the pack available here:
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
and the binary available in the beta's release thread
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
?
I mean, when you guys release a new beta, which one am I supposed to download? Thanks a lot. ;)
...the binary available in the beta's release thread
As it's written by Z in the beta's release thread:
This is a main executable file compiled using Delphi 2007 for a compatibility test. Overwrite it after updating to the latest beta if you'd like to test.

Humm, OK, I knew that. Maybe I wasn't so clear. All I wanted to know was the difference between them, that's it. What compatibility should I test?
I really liked KMPlayer so I am trying to help.
All I wanted to know was the difference between them
The "normal" KMP beta (1279 build) is written in Delphi 7 and the new KMP beta (1280 build, standalone) is written in Delphi 2007.
What compatibility should I test?
Just use the Delphi 2007 build and report any bugs you find. Thats it.

Thank you, Mad.
Ok but what about a CLEAR download section here on the official site instead of a lot of threads with betas? Most of the users go to the official site to download the player and they don't care about forums etc. Why don't you put a simple download page with the latest stable release and another for betas?
Anyway I'm still trying to figure out where can I download the latest STABLE version...

Thanks for the link :)
I hope anyway there will be improvements to the site in order to access a downlod section page in quicker and easier way since this is a great player.

Help is always welcomed.
I think its starting to get really confusing with the new betas. The Delphi 2007 build should be defaulted.

I've got to agree with the posters that can't find the downloads. I myself have searched before for over an hour before trying to find the main download page. I still don't know where it is.
I found a page once(a long time ago) that had full versions, and lite versions listed, but have'nt been able to locate it in a long time. Since I don't have fast connection I don't want to waste almost an hour on full version every time I upgrade. I have the main beta thread bookmarked since last time I searched.
It's almost like a car manufacturer where they have a manual that has sections for radio, air conditioner, and cruise control, but none for engine."Oops, forgot that one".
I mean you have a link for skins, screenshots, wiki, but none for downloads/files.
I haven't even been able to find a changelog. I will read about a new feature, then do a search for it in forums, but only find 1, or 2 instances of people asking for it, or having problem with it, but nothing announcing it's arrival.
I really like the KMPlayer. I would rate it as a 9, but the website is a 1. After the last time I searched for over 1 hour trying to find what I wanted, I almost quit the KMPlayer completely, and just used GOM Player(which is another fine player, but doesn't have a couple of features that KMPlayer does), and Media Player Classic.
I will reiterate. I have NEVER seen a website of a product that does not have a clearly visible download section link. I hope the site will improve accessibility soon.
Just think, the people that complain about a problem are usually only a tiny fraction of the people that actually experience it.
thank you
