mad, do you still have a problem of displaying subtitles in mkv?

I'm just curious about the reason why there is a problem only in mkv.

Do you use an internal subtitle parser?

Yes, I still have the subtitle problem with mkvs.
I use VSFilter 2.37 for now. Every time a new version of KMP comes out, I reset it and try if it works (with KMP subtitle parsers).
The ONLY NEWER version that worked was the 10.12.2006 beta (my DVD menu error problem also wasnt there).
This problem (probably both problems) are 99% my systems fault.
(After my exams, I will most likely make a fresh install of win xp .... we will see then)

The new 24.1.2007 version works for me :D
The subtitles are OK (the DVD error persists...but for example non of my friends has the DVD error, so its my system).

The only little problem is - when the splitter for mkv is gabest or KMP matroska splitter - and I am closing a mkv, I get a message asking if i want to close the file forcibly. If I choose system default mkv splitter (haali), there is no such message.

Keep up the great work.

the DVD error persists...
What's the sympton? Can't you open a dvd or select a dvd menu?
How did you set up dvd settings in preferences?

I am closing a mkv, I get a message asking if i want to close the file forcibly.
Hmmm, it looks weird. I've never heard a thing about it.

I discovered why the subtitles didnt load.
I have checked the option "Autoload subtitles having a same index with a video file". (I think it is better ... having the same index...) Then the subtitles are not showing in mkv (both KMP subtitle modules ON).

The screenshot1 is showing the problem I described with the splitters. When I press the X (closing) button on KMP and a mkv is playing, the message shows.

Well the DVD error (screenshot2) is showing when I choose the "DVD settings" in Preferences. It also resets all my dvd settings. KMP remembers where you were in preferences last time...so if I let the option "DVD settings" marked, every time I then press F2, I get the error. As I mentioned, its probably my systems fault.

having the same index..
Ok, I'll correct it. :D

The option will load any subtitles found in the same folder of video if a matching subtitles is not found. What it means by "same index" is the order of subtitles sorted by its name.

The screenshot1 is showing the problem I described with the splitters. When I press the X (closing) button on KMP and a mkv is playing, the message shows.
It looks like an abnormal operation which I can't still understand. The warning dialog box should pop up only when try opening media or url.

As for the second screenshot, do you use windows in user account?

do you use windows in user account?
I have only 1 user Windows and have full rights.

Thank you for trying to help me. Maybe those messages will disappear after I have done the clean install. I will surely let you know then.
