View Full Version : subtitles in mkv?
i can see a video with two different kinds of language at the same time on the bottom of screen,
but in .mkv, i can only switch these two kinds of language by Ctril+L or 1st subtitle&2nd subtitle; they can't show at the same time on the bottom of screen together,
can i see them together on the bottom of screen in .mkv?
It is not possible yet but I think it can be fixed easily.
ps. Ooops, it is impossible to do that according to the author. Sorry for worng information.
wow...unoc, are you some kind of superhuman?
Reading 2 language-subtitles at the bottom and watching a movie or an anime at the same time?....respect :p
sometimes... i see a movie not just for fun, i also wanna learn another language, it's the best way to learn it, but you know, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd subtitles are far from each other, i can't learn it word by word.
so it's very important to show two subtitles together at the bottom of screen.

I thought so.
I wish you luck with your learning.
.mkv contains two subtitles, so i think there must be some way to show them together,
if kmp2.9.3.1213 can't, maybe kmp2.9.3.1214 will...
i really hope kmp can do it!!!
As it is already possible to display both subtitles at top and bottom of screen, you'd better get accustomed to watch the screen as it is. If you still want to keep both of them at bottom of screen, there is another easy way.
Just extract the two subtitles from mkv using the tool, mkvtoolnix ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).
You may know what to do then.
Actually, I have a same thought as your opinion but the developer explained to me that it is impossible because of the fundmantal limitation and structure of the parser. I think we did our best as it was difficult also to display both embedded subtitles in mkv. I wish you should be understood.
Thanks,
z
I get it.
I just want kmp to be perfect, but it doesn't matter, kmp has already been Great. I love this baby.
by the way, z, you are a good guy! :)
