View Full Version : Please enable subtitles in overlay mode with 8M video memory

I'm using intel 845g integrated video card which can at most share 8M memory as its video memory.

I found most 720p movies (xvid, x264) can't show subtitles in default overlay rendering mode unless using vobsub or VMR9 renderless, both very CPU exhausting.

Also, I found smaller movies (DVD, mpeg2 in 720x576, etc) can show subtitles in overley mode.

I'm not sure if this is because of lacking more video memory, I hope it's not, and the next KMPlayer release could solve this problem.

Thanks in advance!

As your thought, it's because of a small video memory.

Thanks,

But I tried BSPlayer1.39, it's OK in overlay mode, with subtitles shown (not using FFDShow or vobsub).

Now I use BSPlayer to watch most 720p movies, since it's smooth with subtitles( .srt).

I use KMPlayer only with low resolutions (eg. 1280x544 xvid, with srt)

When starting, kmp allocates some video memeory for overlay messages etc.

Try to disable it in preferences.

Excuse me, but where can I disable it?
General -> OSD Messages -> Output Method ?
I tried, but see no effect.

How about General -> OSD Messages -> Message Colors?

You need to be more specific sometimes Z ;)
I wasnt very sure what you mean either :o

Try to turn off OSD Messages wholly in OSD Messages > General.

I can't confirm it will work.
