First - thank you for this piece of software - now I can get rid of MPlayer, VLC and Winamp and get something with even better functionality in place.

Now my problem:

I'm using Windows XP Professional and Limited User. As far as I could find out KMP is saving it's settings under Program Files (where I as a Limited User don't have write permission). And it throws out media libary crash when loading video file. (I fixed it by adding write permission to The KMplayer folder under Program Files, but that's only a cheap pach and is security breach).

The same problem was with Winamp around 5.0.x version (and that was reason for me to move to Foobar2k for audio playback), but then they added possibility to save settings under Documents and Setting folder, witch is used for that purpose by almost all software I use.

So could you please add option (like Winamp) when installing to choose where to save settings - under Program Files (for those sitting under Single User or older version of Windows) or under Documents and Settings (for those under Windows 2000/XP/Vista and/or Multiple user accounts).

Maybe there allready is this functionality, but I couldn't find it under all the possible options under settings?

Currently, KMP does not support multi user accounts.

You can only set the write permission to "all .ini files" and "all of the files in ordner plugins\ml"

I would like to add a second nomination for additional settings location options.
Some options I'm looking for are:
1) Saving options solely into files (no registry crap).
2) Setting save location among the following places:
A) "~/.kmp" (Home folder, multi-user)
B) "./" (Same folder that kmplayer.exe is in)
C) User defined location

this would allow not only for multiple users to have separate settings, but would also allow kmp to be installed onto a flash drive and carried around from computer to computer.
(also, registry is a horrible place for storing anything in my opinion, and should have never been invented. it's tedious to fix/edit by hand and prevents applications from working on multiple computers. For someone who's always on the move, like myself, flash drive-friendly applications are a must)
