It depends on the file(s) you want to play. I would say, everything that can run Windows XP sp2 is ok (KMP doesnt support Windows 95,98,me and maybe also 2000).

In my opinion, the minimum for good video playback is:
cpu: 600Mhz
RAM: 256MB

There are also some tuning possibilities. E.g: turning "SuperSpeed" on, install a more lightweight skin...etc

Of course you need more CPU power for HD films.

Oh!, thanks por reply.

I have a PIV, and Windows XP.
Which would be his system requirements (for KMPlayer)?

512MB RAM seems to me to be many, other multimedia players do not use so much memory ram.

Someone knows really all the memory consumes?
(Without mattering if it is to reproduce audio or video)

Bye

If you can't run the player properly, it would be the limitation of the player without relation to the system requirements except for some compatibility issues.

What's your problem? Can't you see the memory usage from your task manager?

Ps. Though there is a clear description such as "does not support win98 etc anymore", there are reports from the user that some of them are using the player even in 500Mhz system.

KMP memory usage depends on played media:
(a few examples)
1. without anything playing - 4.5MB memory
2. avi - divx3 (624x336) - 13-17MB mem.
3. mkv - x264 (853x480) - 52-55MB mem.

Some time ago, I was playing an avi file on a 350MHz machine (with SuperSpeed of course). It was a bit jerky, but it was watchable :)
KMP is great!
