MicroDVD subtitles and italic tags

Player is cool.
But it can't seem to start italic in MicroDVD format subtitles. It simply ignores the {y:i} tags.
Is there any solution to the problem?

Here are 2 sub files. But it don't matter which one u get. Problem is permanent for all.
