Hi,
Here are some other suggestions:
A "Converter" option that can convert whole video / DVD files to .AVI or .MPEG and whole audio / CD files to .MP3 (the "Capture" menu option "Save as" already converts .CDA to .WAV), without the files having to be captured manually first. Another option, "Extract Audio" could extract the sound of a whole video file without manual capturing.
A "Record" button would help start and stop captures more precisely.
.GIF files should be better supported (only the first picture is shown); a "Thumbnail Generator" as already suggested would be useful; the "Open" dialog should have a section "Pictures" for easier finding and opening pictures. And please don't forget harddisk DVD Region-free ;). One could put it in the "Open" menu before "Open DVD File."
