If I change ANY of the Jump Back keys (5sec/30sec/1min) from the default values, they don't work after the player is stopped and restarted. I have no problems with the Jump Forward keys, which work as expected.

I'll this opportunity to mention that with version 2.9.3.1214, I can say that KMP has reached the point where there is no need for any other player! Not only does it do what any other player I've used can do, it does things that NO other player is able to do: play WMVs at variable speeds, capture from different types of TV capture cards (incl. those with hardware decoders), and more. Great work!

Cannot confirm this...tried it, works ok with other keyboard buttons.

Thanks for your reply.

I experimented some more, and I find some inconsistencies in the way it behaves. All keys work immediately after I set them, but after exiting and restarting the player, not only do some keys work and others do not (when used for JUMP BACK), but it seems that once I specify a non-working key, changing it to a value that previously worked MAY not work now. I need to experiment some more to confirm this.

Meanwhile, can you try a "-" (MINUS) sign (NOT NUMERIC -) please? This is one key that does not work for me as a JUMP BACK. I'm beginning to suspect that it may have something to do with the fact that I'm using a non-English keyboard (Portuguese). However, it DOES work before I exit the player.

Another thing I noticed is that a "-" is indicated by default for Pla&yback > A-B Section Repeat > Auto Repeat current sub section. However, I get no warning when I set the Jump Back to a "-". Of course, I tried changing the "Auto Repeat" to something else, but the - still doesn't work for JUMP BACK.

I tried the "-" and it reacted the way you wrote...until I closed the player, it was ok, but not afterwards. Btw. I use a Slovak keyboard.

Interesting. The problem appears to be the "-" specifically, because if I reverse my Jump Forward/Jump Back keys ("+" & "-" respectively), it is still the "-" that doesn't work, even though it now means "Jump Forward".

Edit:

Well, I found that if I assign a "-" to a function, after restarting the player I must use "~" to invoke that function, instead of the expected "-". I can't begin to guess why. I assume this is keyboard/language dependent. The hex codes for these two characters are nowhere near each other: "-" is x'2D' and "~" is x'7E'.

Beats me.
