The association of file type not work correctly.
In Vista 32 work perfectly.
It also doesn't work for me (Vista HP x64).
Tried latest beta (2.9.3.1402).
However, it writes something into my registry, but Windows doesn't care about it for some reason. The icons are not touched by KMP either (which means, they also don't change from system default icons to KMP-icons).
It looks like this: [Only registered and activated users can see links]
The developer says, that he doesnt have that problem.
You must run Vista x64 as an administrator.
Try "Default" in the association tab and then "Apply to system".
You must run Vista x64 as an administrator.
Believe it or not: I tried this before and it didn't work then. But now it worked. Thanks a lot :)
However, all CD/DVD Autoplay associactions don't work even in Admin Mode. Well, it says "XP only", but this would be a nice Vista (x64) feature, too ;)
Edit: I solved AutoPlay for x64 ... :)

I am having this issue as well. Vista x64, and WMP stubbornly holds onto its file associations.
I am running the latest beta 2.9.3.1417.
Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Seems to be a problem still in latest beta.
These registry settings are missing:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers\KMPP layDVDMovieOnArrival]
"Action"="Autorun DVD"
"Provider"="The KMPlayer"
"InvokeProgID"="KMPlayer.AutoRun"
"InvokeVerb"="PlayDVDMovie"
"DefaultIcon"="C:\\Program Files\\KMPlayer\\kmplayer.exe,0"
and
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\EventHandlers \PlayDVDMovieOnArrival]
"KMPPlayDVDMovieOnArrival"=""
fix those and autoplay works :)
