problem with playing VOB with DTS track

Hi, I am a very happy user of KMplayer for a week. :)

I tried to rip a chapter of a concert DVD to HD using Smartripper last night. The DVD has 3 audio tracks and 2 subtitles. I selected the only DTS track & remap it to [0x80] as suggested by other sites. I sucuessfully got a VOB file that contains the video & the DTS track (GSPOT said so...). When I play it in KMplayer the video plays correctly but no audio. :confused: :confused: Seems the MPEG2 splitter doesn't recognize the DTS audio and doesn't pass the audio to any filter. :confused:

I have attached a 1MB sample of the VOB. Could anyone teach me how to config KMplayer to play it correctly.

Hello, longlongz.

Have you tried to play with other players like mpc or mplayer?
There are some limitations with dts in VOB.
External DTS decoders and splitters(VOB belongs to mpeg2 ps), mostly commercial, do not work with it.

Other sample contained dts in vob was played well with a sound.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
So, make sure that the extracted VOB has a dts track.
If then, confirm in what kinds of condition you can play back with it normally.

Thankyou very much. It turn out to be a Smartripper problem. :mad: The DTS track is incorrectly labeled in the VOB file. :eek:

I used DVD Decrypter to rip the same chapter and KMplayer plays correctly!! :)
