1243 freezes system trying to play a mov file.
Cannot confirm. My mov files play well.
All your mov files are freezing your system? If only a few, upload a sample. And maybe try reset KMP.

OK,
A bit tricky, go to this site and download a clip of a robot,
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
it opens as quicktime, i have PRO just to be able to download those files. I chose to save the clip as QuickTime movie as I did in the past without problems.
I ran it in .1045-did not autostart, I pressed play and nothing happened, CPU is at 100%. I press stop and get this message, see att.
Click on yes and the clip will play. CPU drops to circa 50%.
Tried with .1214 and betas CPU freezes.
If you can't download I'll upload it but need to know. BTW how are things at the negative material plane?
Nice robot :)
The file is MPEG-1 with no audio:
C:\Downloads\RHex.mpg
General
Complete name : C:\Downloads\RHex.mpg
Format : MPEG-1 Video
Format/Family : MPEG-1
File size : 27.9 MiB
PlayTime : 2mn 4s
Bit rate : 1879 Kbps
Video
Codec : MPEG-1 Video
Codec settings/Matrix : Standard
PlayTime : 2mn 4s
Bit rate : 1880 Kbps
Bit rate mode : CBR
Width : 352 pixels
Height : 240 pixels
Aspect ratio : 4/3
Frame rate : 29.970 fps
Interlacement : Progressive
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.743
(I got the same info from GSpot_2.70a)
And also I had no problem downloading the file. I use FireFox 2 and it downloaded the file just fine.
BTW how are things at the negative material plane?
This is nice. Thanks for making me laugh :)
Well, could be better as I am ill at the moment :(
To get back on topic...I use the new 1254 beta + overwritten with the new delphi 2007 build 1255. Had some problems first, but then I reseted KMP and everything is fine now. The normal beta is in the download beta thread and the delphi 07 beta is in the "[2007/04/09] Beta Released, 2.9.3.1254" thread - its clickable text). Try it and report back how things went.

I've isolated 4 problem files, all .mov
They all have one thing in common - they're muxed.
Mad, get better and go back to hunting.
Do you still have a problem to play that sample?
BTW, KMP does not support mpeg elementary stream with its own splitter.
[Primary Filtergraph]
0) - RHex.mpg
1) - MPEG-I Stream Splitter
2) - MPEG Video Decoder
3) - KMP Video Transform
4) - Haali's Video Renderer
If you still have a problem, leave a link of the file and I'll check it.

What I did last night was to uninstall as many codec packages as I could find, including cleanup of registry. Now it works.
