I think the normal and Delphi2007 build can be merged. No compatibility issues so far.
Hi Z,
I think there is a problem in your link to the "main executable file compiled using Delphi 2007". It should be [Only registered and activated users can see links] (which works) instead of [Only registered and activated users can see links] (which doesn't exist).
Thanks

Yes, file not found !.
It'll be fixed as soon as possible. There seems to be another small update for bugfixes.

In latest beta, subtitle charset dropdown is missing EastEurope - I had to select Cyrillic (European) to get EastEurope set of symbols. And it is not cyrillic...

Wouldn't it be a good idea to have an additional kmp_update_only.zip containing only the updated files in the Downloads info and guidelines on the latest beta. ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) thread?
This would certainly decrease server load immensely.

That's true but people will tend to download the update only package even if they didn't use the latest release (the 1 the update is updating) so it'll cause them a lot of problems.
That's just my opinion anyway.

kmp_update_only.zip (be shure you have really downloaded the latest version of KMP previously!)
Don't you think, this would be enough?

From my personal experience of maintaining software updates I'm 100% sure it won't be enough..
That's just my opinion, feel free to have your own ;)
In any case it isn't my decision nor my place to dictate a policy, that'll be up to Z and the author of the kmp (best player ever!).
P.S.
There's a saying in the programming world that goes something like this:
"Programming is a race between a programmer that's trying to create a fool-proof software and the universe trying to make better 'fools'... so far the universe wins".
The point of this saying is that no matter how much effort you put into something there's always that guy who doesn't read the instructions and use it wrong (afterwards he usually comes to the appropriate forums and blame the creator for his own failures to follow the instructions).

Actually my point was that if they will release an "update only" zip file then people will ignore the instructions and complain when it doesn't work for them.
That'll result in a lot of bad feelings for the developer due to "lack of gratitude" which in return will result in less motivation for him to maintain this great project running.
Just visit sourceforge and see how many good projects are dropped due to "lack of gratitude" :(
