When I upscale my DVD's with the latest beta version, the performance is horrible compared to the 1302 version. I don't know what's the problem but I have tested twice and the latest beta has really a problem.

I use Haali renderer and I upscale with Lancoz at 1900x1200.

Be more specific.

Ok I will try.
When I use 1305 version of KMPlayer and use my preset that upscale my DVD's with lancoz at 1900x1200 (using Haali renderer and internal MPEG2 decoder), the playback isn't anymore smooth than 1302 version.
It's like the dual core isn't well applied or at least not so well than the 1302 version and I can easily see that because with such an upscale I use normaly 90% CPU (using both cores) but my DVD's are smooth and audio is sync too with no stutters. And with 1305 version my CPU is only using 40-70 and sometines 80%, so less than 1302.

It's really flagrant because I can't watch a movie with the latest version (a lot of stuttering, not a bit but a lot !)

I hope I'm more specific now ;)

PS: With both version I use same presets, same configuration all is same except files modified by the new version of KMPlayer.

Ok I've tested the new version 1309 and same problem :(
In fact what I described above was not totaly true.

- With version 1299/1302 when I upscale a DVD with lancoz (param 10), MSharpen (HQ), Denoise3D (HQ) at 1900x1200, the CPU usage is about 60-70% but A/V is perfectly smooth and sync.

- With version 1304/1305 and 1308/1309, same preset so same params, the CPU usage is also 60-70% but playback is horrible. Not smooth, out of sync etc etc :(

If I reduce Lancoz parameter to 7 or even 5, I can now play my DVD's correctly. So the problem is that KMPlayer is now using more CPU than earlier version ?? :( :(

Can you figure out the filter causing the higher cpu load?

Which video filter makes the differences?

ps. I can't test it properly due to my out-dated computer.

Ok enclosed, all informations you need to (I hope :P)

So the filter causing problem is probably Lanczos, I think .. :)

Edit:

I can't test it properly due to my out-dated computer.

But maybe with a lower upscale and lower Lanczos param ? To see if it's a CPU consumption difference between 1299/1302 and 1308/1309 or a dual core issue (dual core issue because I don't know why it can't be smooth @60-70%, its really odd)

Remove KMP video transform filter, insert ffdshow raw video filter, and enable the same video filters to compare the differences. See if it works without problem.

Ok I've tested your suggestion and same problem with latest version (1313, it doesn't display 1315, I don't know why ..)

With version 1299/1302 with or with ffdshow I have the same perf. all is OK, no jitter (see the pix enclosed), but with 1313 I have problem when I upscale with KMP but no problem with ffdshow ! At least almost none problem, because I don't understand why Haali renderer does a downscale from 1920x1200 to 1600x1200...

Edit:
First pix is 1313 without ffdshow
Second is 1313 with ffdshow
And sorry for the last pix (1299 version), it says 4.52ms for jitters.
