I have tried to view two romanian television stations that broadcast in real-time over the internet. KMPlayer says each time that the file does not exist. Windows Media Player (but also GOM Player) plays the two streams very fine.

The addresses are :

mms://82.76.12.224:8080/

mms://82.76.253.18/antena3

There is another related problem. In the Warning dialog box thar appears when KMP says that the above files do not exist, clicking on the "Update Codecs" button opens a little transfer window but the connection with the remote server (to download the missing codecs) is not established and the computer is slowed very much.

P.S: I use Windows Vista.

It plays well here.

Once upon a time, there was an update sever to automatically detect and download codec but it is not working anymore. Do not use it.

ps. I'm using xp sp2.

Thanks for the tip Z, it solved my problem. In my copy of KMP the option was set to "Auto Select depending on URL (Default)". After changing it to the one depicted in your screenshot both streams work perfectly.

P.S: I have understood the situation with the server for downloading codecs. There is also an option (when clicking on the Troubleshootings button) named "Search codec online (by Gabest)". The site (gabest.org) doesn't exist anymore, the domain is parked at this time.
