How to fix center volume partially missing in recent version?
If you are using 2ch speaker and the audio source is 5.1ch, it must be the ac3filter causing the problem. The newest ac3filter has always been shipped with the player and it is required to change the speaker setting of ac3filter as the screenshots below.
If you have ac3filter pre-installed in your system, there can be a confliction between them due to the different version of ac3filters. Though the one shipped with the player is not registered in system, it uses the same registry of the pre-installed ac3filter. If you have a trouble in using it, there are a few choices to select.
1. Unregister the ac3filter in your system and delete it. After doing this, follow the process in the screenshots below (reconfigure ac3filter). If you want to use the ac3filter in other applications, you can register it. It is placed under the folder of /The KMPlayer/. Or you can delete the one in /The KMPlayer/.
2. You can simply switch to other decoders.
ps. It is possible to manage the filters installed in sysem using built-in tool called System Filter Manager. (Right click | Options | System Filter Manager // There is a calling button in Custom Filter Manger of preferences too)
