Hey, i recently tried out a .wmv on Kmplayer and it literally lagged my computer completely. I could barely move other windows, and the fps on the Kmplayer was just horrible. All the filters that I could see were off, but it was still really really laggy. I tried a couple other .wmv movies and they all were extremely laggy on Kmplayer but not laggy at all with Windows Media Player.

did i do something wrong or is this a known glitch?

-- This is one of the videos that is for the game Aion. It makes my Kmplayer lag alot and make my system really really really laggy but Windows Media Player plays it just fine.

It plays well here. Try alt+f.

On mine, the sound bumps and the video gets fps delay. Also, i tried ALT + F and it changed superspeed. I tried it with superspeed on and off, no difference on either of them. I don't know what the rest of your message is for tho X_X.

It's so called a working filter chains. :)
You can compare it with yours while playing the file.

Try to change Windows media source filter.
F2 / source filter / windows media tab / New WM ASF Reader or KMP ASF Reader.

After changing, filters are like this.

[Primary Filtergraph]
0) - KMP ASF Reader/Source
1) - WMVideo Decoder DMO
2) - WMAudio Decoder DMO
3) - OverlayMixer
4) - Video Renderer
5) - Default DirectSound Device

If the problem persists, update WMP or WM codecs.

I tried it on all of them...

The New WM ASF Reader wouldn't display video
The Windows Media Source made it extremely laggy on my comp (background windows) but the video was fine.
The KMP ASF Reader was the same as above.
The KMP ASF Splitter made it all laggy
The System Default made it great video and sound but my comp was lagging really bad.

-- When i say my comp was laggy, i mean i wasn't even able to bring up notepad for close to 3 minutes.
