View Full Version : Not able to play .ts file (VC-1, WVC1)

When playing .ts files I can only have sound, not video. Seems that I already configured the correct codec, however kmplayer still says no codec. Could someone shield some light on this? Thanks.

1. Do not use Moonlight-Elecard MPEG2 Demultiplexer for mpeg transport file.
-> Use KMP MPEG TS Splitter or Haali's TS Splitter ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).

2. Configure VC-1 decoder. See the screenshot below.
-> WVC1 decoder must be present in your system: [Only registered and activated users can see links]

It works like a charm!
However, the CPU utilization is very high (persistently above 90%). For my computer setup, is it normal?

Try Alt+F or Ctrl+Alt+F.

I already turned this on, but didn't help. Anyway thanks a lot.

Thats understandable. An AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ isnt really enough for a 1080p movie.

I had the same problem ...
Thank You !!!!

All of a sudden, the .ts file playback does not work. I just forgot what change I did but seems that the settings are the same. How should I troubleshoot? Thanks.

Have you tried to change the MPEG-2 TS splitter?

gemini6

Strange.. I did tried using KMP MPEG splitter before. It didn't work. But now I use it and it works... Then I change back to use Gabest MPEG splitter...and it also works...weird...

Thanks a lot Z!

I had these problems with playing VC-1 with the KMP TS splitter.
It was very jerky and/or had flashing green graphics corruptions.

However, with Haali's splitter all problems seem gone.
