Hi guys, i have two 5-button mice (Microsoft Intellimouse Optical and an old Sweex Optical Mouse). They have two regular buttons, 1 scroll button and two side buttons which are normally used for "Previous" and "Next" in Windows Explorer and in my browser. I'd like to use the side buttons to skip/jump/search through the video, but i can't get them to work; the side buttons do nothing and i tried both mice. Changing the settings in Preferences > Keyboard/Mouse > "1st X-Button Click" and "2nd X-Button Click" had no effect. Is this a bug? Do i need a plug-in? Maybe the KMPlayer just doesn't have this feature? Please let me know so I can report a bug, download a plug-in or request this feature. Thanks.
I'm not sure as I don't have 5-button mouse. Isn't it possible to configure the button manually in the software provided by the vendor? If you want to confirm the problem, try gom player. There is a similar setting for mouse x-button and let me know how it works.
Thanks
ps. I believe you are trying the latest beta. Next time, please make it clear that you are using the latest beta version and followed the general procedure described in the sticky thread.

The buttons work fine when i use them for "previous" and "next" in my browser and in Windows Explorer. Also they work fine in Zoom Player and Gom Player to skip/jump through the video. I didn't get any software with both mice; they worked immediately in XP Pro SP2. Sorry by the way; i use the latest beta (1387). I forgot to mention it the second time i made this topic (it got removed yesterday, probably because of website maintenance). Shall i report my problem as a bug?
Well. The author seems not to have a 5-button mouse.
Wait for some more confirmation from other users as I've heard it works without a problem.
Anyway, it'll be fixed in the next release if the author finds something.

Thank you Z and off course, thanks to the author. To be sure, I tried it on a second pc (XP Pro SP2) with a third 5-button mouse (Logitech). Same problem.
To other users with a 5-button mouse: could you please let us know whether or not your side buttons work?

Like you, not work. I have a Logitech G3.
If it does not work in the latest beta but works with other players, you can report it as a bug. This is mainly because the author does not have 5 button mouse. :)
