Downloaded .wmv.dav file not opening

Dear Sir

...I completely downloaded a media file named "onk0036_01_1m.wmv.dav"
...It's a media file for sure {movies files}
...Then i choose KMP [latest version] to open it but it not work
...Another way i choose Window Media Classic with K-Lite Mega Codec instead
...Then i try to rename it to "onk0036_01_1m.wmv" and reopen it again with KMP and WM
...The same result.Still not work
...Would you please tell me what's wrong and how to solve this ploblem...

... I renamed "onk0036_01_1m.wmv.dav" to "onk0036_01_1m.wmv" already but still can't open with KMP and WM {K-Lite Mega Codec}
... The file is one of five part of files {This is movies file and it's can be play because it's spilted in to five scence }
... I dowloaded just one part of scence to preview if i like it, i'll down load the whole of file and merged into big one file.
... Still waiting to hearing from all kind of suggestions

Yeah...it's splited with a program {such as vcd cutter, wmv splitter or others softwares like that} Usualy we can be play the any parts that separeted individually. Like i said before that "I dowloaded just one part of scence to preview if i like it, i'll down load the whole of file and merged into big one file later " It's no need to completed to load all of the parts and use the program to unify em into the original file then ull be able to see it {...I think that...}

...Uh.m.m.m....May be it's a DRM protected file like Mr.- Panthera tigris - [Admin] said.
...I guess that the file i was dowloaded may be from direct path or backdoor of that site or data backup host of Pay Site.
...However,.I hope.It's possible or have any software to forced it to be playable

...And this's may be the answer i want to know...Right?

...1) KMP is ok it's work cool.
...2) The file i want to play is DRM protected file.
...3) There's so hard to play the DRM protected files in normal directshow players.

It may be a fake file. If you want, make a sample (with a tool provided in this forum) and post it here (dont forget to rename the extension of the output file to wmv too).

if it's splited with a program u wont be able to see the parts separeted u must have all the parts and use the program to unify em into the original file then ull be able to see it

i want the link to the page where the links to the file are if it's a forum or something like that to see what porgram was used to split the files or if there says something that could be valuable as information to solve this problem

It looks like a DRM protected file created by Pirates Buster, doesn't it?
It is strictly restricted to play the file. Generally, DRM protected files are allowed only to play in a specific player or condition.

Ask the provider of the content or tool of DRM creator a method of playing it in normal directshow player. It may not have been allowed. If you can play the file in other players based on directshow, there might be a DRM filter doing the job in a filer chain.

If there is such a filter, it must be forcibly enabled in Custom Filter Manager as KMP does not allow for other filters to interfere with a playing filter chain. It's one of a design rule of KMP.
