Link with creative EAX4.0 for karaoke function

hi,

Is it possible to activate creative EAX console's karaoke functions such as voice suppression and pitch control?

Is there other way to get these two karaoke functions using kmp?

FYI, there is such a function for karaoke as pitch scaling or voice removal in KMP. You can easily toggle the feature by assigning a hotkey. Of course, it is recommended to use the latest beta. Default Speed or Pitch Control Key: Shift + Grey "+, -, *"

By the way, I don't know well if it is possible to use the feature of soundcard. If the feature is designed to work within a system mixer of creative, it would be possible to use it in other application by selecting a corresponding audio renderer.

i see, the pitch control for new beta version work perfectly, but the voice removal doesn't seem to work at all.:(

now i get it, only *.avi file works for voice removal, both *.flv and *.mpg4 file types do not support voice removal :(

Anyone know is there anyway to remove voice real-time while playing *.flv or *.mpg4 file? Any plugin?

Well, my suggestion is to use the player designed for karaoke.

I'm not sure but voice removal works with stereo channels at least.

Somewhat off-topic, but in your opinion, how does the time scaling ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) / pitch control done in hardware by Creative EAX compare to the time stretching /pitch control function in KMPlayer ?

A lot better I'm sure but how much so, especially at the extremes ( 250%+ and 50%- ),
also in comparison to some of the other software solutions such as chronotron or StudioTime ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) ,
the examples in [Only registered and activated users can see links] (under 3.3 Audio Examples),
and the limited time stretching bloatware software solutions such as WinDVD or MS Windows media player.

I donno why when kmp play mp3 file with pitch control, there is a lot distortion and lagging. I have tried select default device and audigy 2 nx but no luck. Probably bitrate too high?

When I try to compare flv file using kmp with mp3 file using creative player. I notice creative pitch control can only go up to level 4 which sound equivalent to kmp 124% time scalling. Since both song bitrate different, it is difficult to compare. I think almost same, just that creative player sound a bit more natural, smoother and less treble. Well since different file type, I am not really sure as well.
