how to keep shortcut of km player on desktop

i am using xpservicepack 2 recently i have downloaded latest beta version of km player and extracted to a folder i can directly open exe from file of kmplayer exe from that folder without any installation and play all videos and audio files i am unable to place a shortcut on desktop

How are you trying to create the desktop shortcut? Do you have any problem with another kind of shortcuts?

You can try the beta installer ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) to create shortcuts automatically.
